When NC State’s Women’s Basketball team set out to build a new locker room, they needed a space that felt inspiring and team-focused. They partnered with Duncan Parnell to help bring the brand to the walls. Working closely with the coaching staff and Director of Women’s Basketball, the team aimed to create an environment that reflected their identity, with standout visuals and a touch of “bling.” The biggest challenge: a four-week window from design to installation.
DreamScape was the right fit thanks to its availability and range of finishes. To achieve the desired effect, Duncan Parnell used textures from DreamScape’s Special Effects line: Bling, with its glass bead embossing, added sparkle to the main hallway; Platinum, featuring a metallic embossed surface, was used in the locker room and film room; and Suede brought a clean, soft finish to other hallways throughout the arena.
DreamScape’s materials supported clean, detailed printing and added subtle depth to the overall design. By leaving some areas of Bling and Platinum unprinted, the natural shimmer of the textures became part of the design.
The result is a bold, functional, and branded space that gives the team a strong sense of place.
